Canyoning or canyoneering in some countries is an exciting way of using various sporting activities while navigating through a canyon. Canyoning Croatia can include hiking, swimming, abseiling or rappelling, cliff jumping, negotiating river rapids and waterfalls, and climbing over boulders and other rocky ancient river terrains. The best and most rewarding canyoning is done in remote and rugged settings and often employs map reading and other outdoor skills. Canyoning Croatia is considered one of the best canyoning in Europe.
Our landscape has been formed by water cutting into the river bedrock over thousands of years. Rivers can form canyons in many different types of rock, the abrasive water slicing through sandstone, granite, gritstone and limestone. To sum up, the latter being is the most common in Croatia.
The Canyoning Croatia company was founded by a group of people with a shared passion for canyoning, outdoor adventure, and exploring new places. Our guides organise and run the company so that we can involve our guests in the best possible way. We have brought the canyoning Croatia tours on the River Cetina to an entirely new level, by incorporating all our canyon experience, from both here and abroad.
More than ever we pursue being the best of the best because we want to share our experiences and unique lifestyle with others who have the same goals and aspirations.
The Cetina is especially famous for its crystal clear waters. It provides the drinking supply for people and waters the crops. Along the river, there is no industry, nor major towns or cities, so the river environment is largely secure.

We really enjoyed the whole experience it was great fun. The scenery was stunning.
It was one of the highlights of our holiday.

Excellent service sending the photos the next day.
Happy memories of a fun filled day.
This was an amazing rewarding day. The instructors were excellent and dependable. Petra went above and beyond as we were both over 50 with a 15 year old son in... read more a young group.
We were in the canyon for 5.5 hours. Always moving, clambering over bolders, jumping from one bolder to another, through dark tunnels, up and down steep slopes/cliffs and floating in short stretches.
Whilst you are in the canyon there is no drinking water or food carried. We were given an energy tablet. Expect to burn over 1000 calories!
There was an opportunity for photos to be taken which were emailed to us later by Petra. This was much appreciated and made good memories.
It was mentally and physically tough and totally full on. I am really glad we hired the special boots as I am sure they help avoid injury.
There were some opportunities to jump from the rocks or upgrade to include abseiling. The pictures of this were great. We did the first jump but declined the rest and the optional 9m jump.
I’m not sure I realised how full on this was going to be. I had visions of long floats down the river but instead these were limited.
This is well equipped but no frills trip. For example prepare to change in the open after the session before you get onto the coach to go home. Make sure you bring a big towel.
As hard as it was there was an immense sense of achievement. It would probably suit younger and much fitter people as once you start it is full on for hours and seemingly there was no way to quit.
Once again the instructors especially Petra were excellent. We felt like we had really achieved something and I am glad we did it.
Our 15 year old son really enjoyed it. At the beginning he said it was the best day ever, although as we went on he had to learn to dig deeper.
Outstanding activity! If you like cliff jumping, hiking and floating around in the river, this is going to be perfect for you. We also had the nicest guides you could... read more possibly imagine, who perfectly matched the energy of the entire activity!
It’s also something anyone can do. Our group was colorfully mixed with any age, gender and sportiness and all of them did very well.
Highly recommend it for anyone who wants adrenaline and a fun afternoon!
Highly recomended. Both guides (Boris and Stipe) were very experienced and observed highly our safety, both were very friendly and spoke English very well. The features (jumps) in the canyon... read more grow gradually so people can get used to them if they want to jump them. Highlight was a rapelling along 50m waterfall and jumps. This was my fourth canyoning ( before Spain, Austria, Slovenia) and it is in my opinion worth a visit! We got some free photos as a bonus.
Great experience with amazing tour guides who did not fail to entertain the group and managed to bring a vivid spirit to the trip. Would definitely recommend:)
A great way to spend 3 hours and get to see the Croatia from a different perspective.
The guide (Marco) gave clear instructions and we all felt safe.
